The Tallest Building in Chile: The Telefónica Tower in Santiago is a 143-meter high tower that completes in 1996. Until other towers in the city surpassed it in height, it was the tallest building in the country. It also reflected Santiago’s modernity and gave Telefónica Chile a boost in the neighborhood. The business currently operates Chile’s biggest mobile network under the name Movistar.
