The construction of a tall building is a booming industry in Cambodia. In the country, more than 2,000 construction projects are in various stages of development. It is anticipated that the first half of 2022 will result in US$1.2 billion in construction costs alone. The two tallest buildings in Phnom Penh are the PARC 21 Residence and the Vattanac Capital Tower. Both are being constructed close to the central market and will act as icons in Phnom Penh.
Although the project’s skyline will be stunning, it will be modest in comparison to other large cities. Phnom Penh has added a few skyscrapers in the last decade, and some developers have already announced plans to build more. Some of them may become the Tallest Building in Cambodia. However, there is some debate over whether this is a good idea for Cambodia.
