Terracotta, a material with eco-friendly benefits including corrosion resistance and self-cleaning qualities, is used for the facade of the structure. Additionally, terracotta is easily produced and shipped. In addition to this, ceramic-clad piers offer generous shading and natural ventilation in the tropical climate. Energy-efficient chillers and heat recovery systems are also employed to ensure the building’s comfort.

The Tianjin CTF is a financial center that has been under construction for several years. It has 100 stories above ground and stands 530 meters (1,739 ft) tall. The CTBUH has certified it as the tallest building in the North China Region.

The CTF Finance Centre is located in the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area. Hence it is currently the third tallest building in China, the seventh tallest in the world. It was designed to meet LEED(r) Gold standards and incorporate many sustainable design features such as green landscaping and optimized daylighting.

Shanghai Jin Mao Tower: The Tallest Building in China

Height: 421 meters, (1381 ft)

Furthermore, The Shanghai Jin Mao Tower is the tallest structure in China. Although It has 88 floors and stands 421 meters tall. It was designed by Adrian D. Smith, who incorporated traditional Chinese culture and architectural styles into the building’s design. This building is consider one of the most well-constructed buildings in the world.

However, the Jin Mao Tower was finished in 1998 and became the tallest building in China. Hence The Jin Mao Tower is 88 stories tall and resembles the form of ancient pagodas. It also features a skywalk, a six-story podium, a shopping mall, and a cinema. Visitors can also see the city below from this tower.


Canton Tower

Height: 604 metres, (1,982 ft)

Although, The Canton Tower stands 1,982 feet high. Hence, It’s a symbol of Guangzhou’s development. The building was constructed between 2005 and 2010, costing USD$450 million. Moreover, it was the tallest building in China for five years and served as the focal point of the Asian Games opening ceremony in 2010.

Lastly, The Canton Tower is a landmark building in Guangzhou. In addition, the tower can withstand earthquakes of magnitude 7.8 and typhoons of magnitude 12. It is design to last for more than 100 years. There are also 600 electronic sensors embed in the structure. Hence, they measure the building’s stress, vibration, and temperature. These data will be recorded and stored for future use.
