The Iconic Tower will be the tallest building in Africa when it is completed in 2023. Hence, it is the largest project in the New Administrative Capital. In addition, Egypt is currently building a new administrative capital with the “Oblisco Capitale” tower as its centrepiece. The tower is one kilometer in height and inspired by the lotus flower, which has grown in the Nile Delta for millennia. It will also feature special places for recreation, shopping, and housing.
The tower has a distinctive design that is reminiscent of the Pharaonic obelisk. This landmark will also serve as a symbol of Egyptian civilization and will be an important tourist destination. It is set to be completed by late 2018.

The Zayed Crystal Spark project is expected to be Egypt’s tallest building when it is finished, standing about 200 meters tall and covering about 8.5 million square feet. It is funded through a public-private partnership, but the completion date is not yet announced. The project is being undertaken by several real estate developers and the New Urban Communities Authority.
