Originally, the Jeddah Tower was designed as a helipad, but the location was considered too dangerous. The pilots found the structure was unsuitable for landing. In addition, the wind at high altitude was too strong for a helicopter to land. The design was then changed to the terrace, which will be the world’s highest terrace when it is completed.
