London Skyscrapers: Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, Heron Tower is the tallest building in the City of London and one of the three tallest buildings in Greater London. Designed to serve as an office building, Heron Tower also serves as a symbol of the future of the City.

Located on Camomile Street and Bishopsgate, Heron Tower is the tallest building within the City of London. The tower is also located near Renzo Piano’s Shard and the Bishopsgate Tower. It is also near the old medieval gate into the City.

Heron Tower is one of the few environmentally friendly office buildings in the City. The building uses solar panels for electricity generation. It also uses adiabatic cooling, which uses air pressure to regulate temperature. The facade is a triple-skin glazed system.

South Quay Plaza

Located in Canary Wharf, the South Quay Plaza development offers a luxury five-star lifestyle. The towers are designed by world-renowned architects Foster + Partners and hence scheduled to be completed in 2022. Moreover, they offer a unique and luxurious location in the heart of the buzzing Canary Wharf business district.

In addition, the development will consist of three towers. Hence, two of the towers will be residential, and the third will be an office building. Although the first tower, South Quay Plaza, is planned to be 68 storeys tall. The tower will be the tallest building in the UK, so the tower will offer incredible views of the city skyline.

Strata SE1 is the tallest residential building in Central London. This 43-storey building is located in the London Borough of Southwark, and features 408 flats. This eco-friendly building has won a number of awards for architecture and design.

The tower is the first residential building in the world to incorporate integral wind turbines. Three wind turbines will provide a total of 50MWh of electricity per year. This is equivalent to 8% of the building’s total energy consumption. This electricity will be collected by the Elephant and Castle Multi Utility Services Company.

Strata SE1 has also won multiple design awards. This includes the Building Design magazine Carbuncle Cup. The building was also voted fifth favourite tall building in a poll of 500 people aged 16-64 in Ipsos MORI.

Originally constructed in 1971 as a thirty-storey office tower and South Bank Tower has been redeveloped into an array of retail, office, and residential spaces. It is part of a redevelopment project in London’s South Bank District.

The building was originally designed by Richard Seifert. He also created Blackfriars Station and Drapers’ Gardens. It was home to a publishing company called IPC media. In 2007, the company moved to the Blue Fin Building in Bankside.

After extensive redevelopment, South Bank Tower is now a luxury apartment building with more than 200 apartments. It is also surrounded by world-class landmarks and cultural venues. The building features a residents’ lounge, gym, and cinema room. There is also a large private roof garden.

Although South Bank Tower has become a part of the fabric of London. It has attracted old money heirs, tech entrepreneurs, and artistic directors. It is also close to some of the best restaurants and shopping spots in London.

BT Tower

BT Tower, also known as the British Telecom Tower or Post Office Tower, is one of London’s most famous landmarks. Although, it was built in the 1960s, originally as a steel truss tower to support microwave aerials and broadband linkages. In 1992, the tower was rebranded as the BT Tower.

Moreover, it is one of London’s tallest buildings, 177 metres (56 floors) tall, and is one of the most iconic structures in the city. Aside from its obvious structural function, the building is also use for private events and broadcasts. The structure is also use as a study for improving the air quality of London.

In addition to its use as a broadcasting and communications hub, the tower also serves as the hub of fiber optic cables. Hence, the structure is reinforce by six layers of steel cable.
