How to Cook Salmon: Whether you’re cooking salmon for the first time or you’re looking for a quick and easy way to prepare a delicious dinner, there are a number of ways to prepare it. The method you choose will depend on your personal preference and how much time you have available.
The most important thing to remember is that your salmon should be cook to perfection. This can be done with a thermometer, but you can also use visual cues to estimate how done it is. If you don’t have a thermometer, you can also check the internal temperature of the salmon using a fork. Although, it should be cook to 125 to 130 degrees Fahrenheit in the center.

A good way to prepare salmon is by poaching. Although, this method is easy and healthy. Hence, you don’t have to add any fat or extra liquid.

You can use a variety of liquids to poach your salmon.
White wine, coconut milk, stock, vinegar, capers, whole peppercorns, bay leaves, or even dill sprigs are all good options.
The poaching liquid should be cook at a medium temperature. This will make it more flavorful.
For added flavor, you can add a little garlic, hearty herbs, and citrus. If you don’t want to use wine, you can substitute it with a mixture of white wine and water.
You should keep the liquid covered while it’s cooking.

Furthermore, you should put your salmon into the pan. Depending on the size of your salmon, hence it may take a few minutes to cook.
After a few minutes, check it with a fork to see if it’s cooked through.
Hence, you should be able to see brown edges on the bottom of the pan.
Finally, when the salmon is ready, flip it over.
